The inaugural Second Line is an interactive conference celebrating the New Economy successes and strategies with disruptive innovation, value creation, and sustainable social impact. Set in New Orleans, we are bringing some of the world's leading innovators to demonstrate how design, experience, strategy, and technology can be applied to create new markets, exponential growth, and sustainable social impacts. This is not about intellectual theory, but rather about learning and sharing extraordinary work experiences with those who are actually doing it, around the country and around the world. We will compliment the more global perspectives with our local innovators who have fueled the renaissance for New Orleans.

The Big Thank You

New Orleans has benefited greatly since 2005 due to the outpouring of support provided in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. We recognize that the wealth of experience from National and Local contributors can translate to other’s that are in need of creative problem solving. Second Line will represent New Orleans, offering something back in return by hosting a roundtable discussion, providing international (e.g. Haiti, Ireland, etc) and U.S. (Detroit, Ohio, etc) leaders with creative alternatives for resolving their problems.

The Declaration of Innovation

Second Line will present one Social Innovator with a financial grant and a year’s in-kind marketing, strategy, and management consulting. The award will go to the social venture the leaders feel is positioned to make a social impact in the New Orleans area.
